A new blog adventure

I have launched a new blog for selling my handmade cards and gift items.  You can see the blog here at http://handmadewithlove-melissa.blogspot.com/.    I am so excited about this new venture.  I still need to work out paypal ordering, but for right now, you simple contact me by leaving a comment on the post of the item you want.  I will get back with you and we'll work out payment and shipping.  Single cards sell for price of card plus $.47 for postage.  Gift ensembles are custom made mostly and payment will include shipping to you.  So take a look and see what I have available and what I have been working on lately.  Probably won't see a lot of posts here as I don't have time to double up.

Here are some pictures of a few things I have posted there.   I have some awesome new stamp sets, Sizzix dies and supplies coming for some awesome things to add to my little card store.  Things like a pop-up cake die for making very very cool birthday and wedding cards.  You won't believe these until you see them.  I have some super sweet kids stamps coming where I can dress up the little boy and girl in all kinds of outfits: chef, rainy day, pj's, boy scout, fireman, engineer, princess, fairy, nurse, carpenter, astronaut, etc. for kid's birthday and everyday cards.  I don't know of any child who doesn't like to get a card in the mail any day and feel special.  These are going to be so great.  So I have lots of new stuff I'll be working on and adding.  Plus a few Mother's day cards and Father's day cards.   So make sure you check out the new blog weekly.

Baby girl memory desk set

I made this for a friend who is having a little girl in a couple of weeks.  This is a desk set for storing memories, photos, and misc. items.  Isn't it pretty?  I think it turned out super cute and not too pink.  It was easy and my first Filed With Flair project with the My Timeless Templates.  I hope the new mom likes it. I hope to make a Bun in the Oven (My Timeless template) box with the socks rolled up like a bun for her too.  Super cute.  Then I'll dress up some onesies with some purple bows and buttons and it will be a sweet ensemble.

Some new projects!

I have been working on home decor items for our new house.  I made this adorable and very functional desk set for our new shelves and desk in the living room.  It was based on Lauren's My Timeless Template  Filed With Flair.  Now I have to admit, I didn't use the actual template I bought from Papertrey Ink.  I bought it, but our printer doesn't work.  I am pretty good though with figuring out how to make something if I have dimensions and an idea of what the finished product is supposed to look like.  So here is my version.  Pretty cool huh?  It is for housing all that mail we have to keep up with. Mail in, Mail out, and what needs to be filed upstairs.   Lauren did this in different colors and with different decorations in the design idea booklet that comes with the template.  She is so creative.
I also made a little cubby cube with two of the Perfect Match Box idea that Lauren did.  I didn't buy her template but I figured it out with the dimensions given on the Papertrey site under My Timeless Templates.  Anyway, they are to store receipts and stamps.  Then I dressed up a little glass container for pens, and voila!-- a cute little desk ensemble it took only two nights to create.
I used the new In Color Baja Breeze, Creamy caramel, Not Quite Navy, and Chocolate Chip to do these projects.  I used the Fifth Avenue Floral set (I love that set).  Very cute, classy and they look great.  Now I just need to get a seat to sit on at the desk and we'll be in business.

HIdden Notecard Stationary

I made these using Michelle Wooderson's idea for a Hidden Notecard.  I love these.  Using the nestability dies and PTI stamps make these just so beautiful.  Love them.  I made two sets of 4 cards each to sell and give as thank yous.

Teacher thanks and appreciation

I made these to sell for those who need to tell their child's teacher "thank you".
