I played around with my stamps yesterday during a few free moments so I could try this week's MIM challenge. The two cards didn't turn out perfectly or exactly like I was looking for, but they are pretty good. I used soft stone and fine linen as my light neutrals, however, the fine linen is not as light as I would like. Might have to try the tea dye ink and see if that gives a softer effect next time.
I liked this challenge as I always love Dawn McVey's subtle backgrounds she creates on a lot of her cards lately. Enjoy!

Cute cards. I especially like the dad one with the bit of vellum.
Melissa, I love the garden theme on the first, perfectly wonderful stamping! And How sweet the Father's Day card with the great word bg!
They're both so sweet! I love the gardening card, as I just love spending time in my gardens. The Father's Day card is fabulous!
Love both your cards Melissa! The garden themed one is fantastic...love how everything pops against that background! And your father's day card is great fun with that word background...it works perfectly with that recliner! :0)
