Part 2 for MIM challenge

I had to repost this card in another posting so I can add it to the inlink thing on the challenge posting. It won't let me upload two images from the same url listing on my blog.

MIM challenge

Here are my two very quick and slightly unfinished cards for this week's MIM challenge: watercolor splats.  I think they look fine the way they are, very simple, but haven't decided on whether or not to add a companion sentiment to the hello using the Wonderful Words: Hello stamp set.  We had a busy week preparing for our son's 13th birthday and a party for him on Friday.  I had a bridal shower I helped throw on Saturday, and today is my husband's birthday.  Whew!  I am wiped out.  This was just a quick attempt last night to get something made for this challenge.  I just finished gluing the mat piece on the card base tonight.  Hopefully as our homeschooling winds down in the next two weeks, I can get back to a more regular challenge participation again.

I used PTI and Stampin' UP! inks, white PTI paper, and PTI die for this project.

PTI April blog hop part 2

Here is the second card.  I actually made this one first and used the images that immediately caught my eye as matching a stamp set PTI has from the inspiration pieces.  I used Rosie Posie and the colors of Limeade Ice, Simply chartreuse,  New Leaf, Harvest Gold, Red, and Scarlett Jewel.  I really like the bold images, colors, and how the hexagons just pulled it all together at the bottom of the card.   Fun when it all comes together quick and easy like that.

April Blog Hop at PTI part 1

Here is my first entry to this month's blog hop.  Loved the embroidered inspiration pieces.  The top left and right pieces spoke to me the most and seemed easily translatable to the stamps I had.   This card uses the top left inspiration piece.  I used the Stamp a Faire set from this year for the leaves/stems and embossed with green Zing! embossing powder.  I then used my brand new Doodlebug Designs sequins for the flowers.  Finished up with some PTI red bakers twine and a bold stamped sentiment.  It makes me smile.
