MIM#209 white on white die cuts with a pop of color

It has been since February since I have been able to get my act together to do a MIM challenge in a timely manner.  Whew!  I am so ready for April to be over and things to somewhat slow down again. I did make a card for the March Blog Hop last month, got it posted to the blog, and then because we were out of town, I totally forgot to post my link to Nicole's blog on the blog hop day.  Bummer.

Here is my version on the MIM challenge for this week.  Lots of people used the ideas that I had come up with, so I think I came up with something else unique.  I used Rustic Wreath and some pretty pink Fabulous Flowers to make a pretty little baby card.  Sentiment placement was a huge challenge.  It turned out okay.  I can tell I rushed a bit.  White space cards are hard.  I feel like I should have matted the card front on a piece of pink paper just to give it more definition.

I guess this challenge will get a revisit this summer when I have more time to play around with it. I can see some fun designs with the cover plate dies with some flower focal points, a spot or two of geometric color thrown in.

April Papertrey Ink Blog Hop: navy and pink

Loved the inspiration photo for this month's blog hop.  So elegant and pretty.  I would love to make a card with a pretty table scape like that.  Maybe next month.  Crafting time hasn't been around much this month, as April is a whirlwind month for us with birthdays, anniversary, Easter, doctors appointments, etc.  Crazy.  I am so looking forward to May-July when we get our Summer vacation from school and get to rest and catch up.

Here is my entry into this month's blog hop.  I loved the card that Lizzie Jones did for the PTI color play, so I made my own version.  I used The Sweet Life, Four Square, Mixed Messages in navy, pretty in pink, hibiscus burst and raspberry fizz.  Love it.  Simple and elegant and the Celebrate today could be for birthday, wedding, or graduation.  Perfect.
