Simple thanks cards for our church elders and pastor

A quick card I made for all the elders and the pastor of our church plant. We had a pot-luck dinner tonight to celebrate one year of our church meeting together. It was great. God has truly blessed our church and I look forward to seeing what God does in the future to use us as a church body for His glory.

I can't belive this!!!!

I wish I could share a photo of this to remind you of what I sent in, but I had to delete it, as it is now Stampin' UP!'s property. I sent in two circle totes with a handmade flower made out of various sized circles punched out with our circle punches for April's demonstrator contest Round and Round We Go. I just found out tonight that I won!!!! I am soooooooooooooo excited and relieved that I sent that in, as I kept debating for two weeks whether or not to do that. I just wasn't totally happy with either one of them, but didn't have time to fix them or start over. Thank you, God, that you didn't let me back out. I am thrilled. I get to pick three stamp sets of my choice from the catalog now. I don't know when the deadline is to do that, so maybe I'll get to pick from the new catty. I hope so. Either way, I am so thrilled.
I hope this isn't too tacky talking about this, but I hardly ever win anything, and I usually copy most of the things I make from others, and I am excited to see my original art get noticed. Especially when you compete with gifted artists from splitcoast for a lot of these contests. But I do have to thank Michelle Fischer for the circle tote idea, and Sharon Field for the circle punch flower idea. I just used my own creativity for combining the two into a unique project neither of them came up with.
Anyway, just had to share my excitement.

More Birthday Mania!

Not only is it my son's birthday this month, but my husband's too. So here are a couple of cards I made for us to give to him. I love this Eat Cake stamp set, and the Notations Designer series papers are great for masculine cards too. The Office Accoutrement set is also fun. We'll see how these go over. Happy Birthday, Scott.

Happy Birthday, Nathan!!

It is birthday month around here.
My son is turning 6 on Wednesday the 25th. I can't believe how time has flown by. I was thinking that the 5th birthday was going to be hard, but I think they all are going to be rough on me, as the years go by so quickly. What an amazing little boy he is. So grown up in some ways, but still little in others. God is so good to us.

Anyway, Happy Birthday, Nathan! and here is your card I made for you. I used a sahara sand long note, some of the Notations paper and the Eat Cake stamp set.

Crabby birthday

This is for a birthday party tomorrow for my sons' friend. I am totally burned out tonight as it is midnight and I just finished this. It is a shadow box card and really is easy, I'm just brain fried. Took several tries to scan it well, and it doesn't really do it justice. Much better in 3-d. I'll try to take a picture with the camera and see if that is better.
This card used the Crab and Co. stamp set in the Spring mini from Stampin' Up!.

You Grow Girl... congratulations

I made this for a friend who just found out she is pregnant. I got the inspiration for this from Cambria Turnbow's blog but I changed up a few things especially the colors. Loved her design. The dress on the girl is actually stamped on the Au Chocolate paper sponged with the purple ink, and then cut out and glued on the original stamped image on vanilla paper. It's called paper piecing and it is fun and easy. New way to use that paper too. Enjoy.

Sahara Sand office thanks

I just started putting pieces together and this is what I came up with. It is okay, but I think I need to keep working with this set (this is only my second attempt). I didn't want the card to look too girlie, but I think it still is. Hmmm. Oooh. I just thought of something, I could send it to our church secretary to thank her for all the amazing hard work she does. Now off to the drawing board for some more manly cards for the rest of our church staff. We are going to give them appreciation gifts next Sunday as part of our first annual pot-luck celebration. Our church is a new church plant and we have been meeting for a little over a year now. We have seen God do awesome things in a year and provide amazing growth for our little church. We have over 150 people each Sunday. Wow! Anyway, it's supposed to be a secret, so everyone who knows about this, shhhhh!!

rose red stitched ribbon from Ribbons originals
dimensionals, round tab punch

March Special class: triangle trifold card

Last project for my class. I thought it was appropriate to put one of these cards in the class since it is a card challenge sketch for April. This was a card made by Beate Johns on Splitcoast.

If my month of April wasn't always so jam packed, I could have come up with some originals, but these were so pretty, simple and clever in using all the elements of the March Special that I had to use them.

March Special class: 3x3 card set

Here are a set of 3x3 cards with a classic color scheme: black and white. These are so pretty and so easy. Again another idea from Splitcoaststampers.

There are envelopes that match the cards and they are posted under the first two cards and beside the bottom card.

March Special class: cards

Here are the cards for the class I am holding for my customers who ordered the March Special from Stampin' Up! It's not too late to get these products and make these cards yourself. The items used are in the current Spring Mini catalog that can be ordered from until June 30th.

Items used in cards are:
Stamps: polka dots and paisley
Papers: certainly celery, regal rose, so saffron, old olive, green galore, basic black, white, tempting turquoise
Inks: same as above in markers, plus black
Accessories: rose ribbon, celery ribbon, black ribbon, ticket corner punch, tag punches, white gel pen

These cards came from the lovely and talented ladies of Splitcoast. I didn't really change a thing, so I need to give them credit for their creativity here. Love them all.

March Special class: photo wallet

This is a photo wallet that is a project for my customers who bought the March Bundle special from Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Polka dots and Paisley
Paper: petals and paisley ds paper, regal rose, tempting turquoise, certainly celery, white
Accessories: spiral punch, round metal edge tag

quick birthday cards

I had this ribbon that I haven't used since I purchased it at least a year ago. Alas, I think I am a ribbon hoarder as well as a printed paper hoarder. Anyway, these are two very quick cards I just put together while my boys were down in my craft room stamping and crafting with me. As a result they are not my best work, as I smudged one with ink, and one isn't creased very well. But alas, they are okay otherwise. These are for my father-in-law for his birthday tomorrow.
