Papertrey Ink June Blog Hop

Last entry to today's festivities.  I was inspired by Betsy Veldman when she revisited Tiny Tags earlier this year.  Super fun interpretation of the frames sketch and used the colors in the color scheme: Spring Rain, Harvest Gold, Hibiscus Burst and Raspberry Tart, and Teal.

Papertrey June Blog Hop color and sketch inspiration #2

I keep saying that I am done with my cards for this month's blog hop, but I keep pulling out stamps and ideas to play along.  This follows the sketch for the color blocked circle card with a large word accent for the sentiment.  I used a pretty flower from Dawn McVey's new flower set.  I love these flowers.  They are just the right size and I love all the 2 and 3 step options they have.  I got all the colors from one of the sketches in except the spring rain color.  I used Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry, Teal and Harvest Gold.  I popped up the wet paint die cut on a piece of the coaster board PTI sells.  It was tricky to cut out such small details on that and have it come out, but it worked.

Striped Comforter Inspiration June Blog Hop card

This is my last entry to the June Papertrey Blog Hop.  I really wanted to make a card inspired by the striped comforter on the bed.  So I framed my stripes with Summer Sunrise card stock, which mirrors the bed frame in that color.  Next I striped a focal piece of white card stock with the new Ombre Builders stamp set, which I love for quick and easy backgrounds.  Then I used my new Wet Paint die cuts and stamps to make my sentiment.  Done.  So very quick and easy.  I can't wait to try more color schemes with this.  The comforter has some diamond stripes across the solid stripes of colors, and I thought I could recreate that with the argyle stamps, but I kind of like the simplicity of this better.

Enjoy the blog hop.
Stamps: Ombre builders, Wet Paint 1
Inks: summer sunrise, aqua mist, melon berry, orange zest, hibiscus burst, black
Dies: wet paint

Framed sketch and color scheme: PTI June Blog Hop

Here is my third card for the June Blog Hop at Papertrey Ink.  I chose to use the Framed Out series to make this card.  This sketch stumped me a little.  I used the color scheme of Raspberry, Hibiscus Burst, Harvest Gold, Teal, and Spring Rain.  I like how it turned out.  I spritzed the whole card front with shimmer smooch spritz,  and used some glitter Stickles on my star to make it look extra festive.  It is quite sparkly in real life.

I thought the blue frame looked like it had confetti in it, from afar, and the yellow frame looked like it had just a solid white/vellum look to it, so I used a vellum star cutout in my yellow frame that I glittered to make it stand out and confetti sparkles in my blue frame and around the cluster in general.

PTI June Blog Hop Sketch and color combo challenge

This card uses the sketch and color combo cards for this blog hop.  I thought the trendy triangles worked great for the banner.  A bright and cheery card.  Colors used are Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Aqua Mist, Hibiscus burst, and melon berry.

PTI June Blog Hop Sketch card

I used the sketch given but not the color combo given for this card.  The sectioned circle image just called out for red, white and blue since July is fast approaching.  I have a very sweet friend whose birthday is in July, so this one is for her.
