new style gift card holder

This is a cool new origami style gift card holder. With a few scores, folds, and turns of your paper, you can make this great new gift card holder. And this is a little sneak peak of a project you will get to make at my July stamp camp. This is a first try, so the one you will make will have more pizzazz, and hopefully fun new Christmas papers from Stampin 'UP!

The picture of the front has an insert. On the next picture is the insert and then what it looks like inside with the gift card and an inside insert.

graduation book

This is a book I made for a friend, whose son is graduating. She sent out notecards to friends and family of her son and asked them to write down a favorite memory or a word of encouragement for him. I made a book to fit them in when she gets them all back. This is the book part.

Leftovers into Makeovers

For all of you unlucky ones who didn't make it out to my stamp swap, you missed a fun time. You also missed your chance to stamp 3 cards for absolutely FREE. Ah, well, I took the leftovers and remade them into a few different cards. Here they are.
By the way, most everyone who showed up with stuff to sell/swap sold something. I think next time if we have more participation, even by people wanting to shop, it would be even better. Alas, we all had fun chatting, stamping, and catching up on how things have been going.

Don't miss out on my next stamping event: Christmas in July stamp camp. For a mere $25 you will get to stamp up to 10 projects to use to wrap it, tag it and organize it this holiday season. You are going to love it!! Don't forget to sign up by the end of June and pay your fees. Thanks.

Something old is new again; something new will be gone soon...

Okay, so I didn't come up with a good title, but I wanted to highlight some cards that I made up quickly using those same "Mish" card layouts. These are so much fun and easy. The hardest part is finding colors to use, but use that color coach or go to the link on the right that says SU! color combos to make that part easier. Or find some beautiful patterned papers and let those dictate your color scheme. Anyway, these cards are for my stamp swap/sale open house today. I thought if we are shopping for stuff, we might as well stamp too. I cut 10 of each of these in about an hour (again, I was a little stumped on color on a couple). Then it took me less than 10 min. to stamp and assemble all three.

I am saying farewell to some of the retiring sets (Best of cluck), some already retired stuff from last Summer (Polka Dot posies and summer papers), and trying a masculine card for Father's day with current items that will be returning.

Hope you like what you see, and don't you wish you had come today to make these yourself? Well there is always my Christmas in July stamp camp coming up on July 28th. You can sign up for that until the end of June.

My Mr. Crabby Pants

Here is my version of the crabby card. I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder, some ribbon, ticket corner punch, and a new color scheme: not quite navy, cool caribbean, and certainly celery and red. Pretty cool if you ask me. This is another Michelle Wooderson layout using a 4x4 piece of embossed paper, and a square main focal point. Again, super easy and if you used a full 12x12 sheet of paper, you could easily crank out 12 of these out of one sheet.

Mr. Crabby Pants hits our house

A fellow stamper had named this stamp "Mr. Crabby Pants", and alas the name is catchy and has stuck in our house. We have a birthday party to go to this weekend for my sons' friends, so I got out my Cuttlebug, which they love, and we got a little crafty. Here are Nathan's (6 yrs. old) and John's (3 1/2 yrs. old) cards.
