Stamp a faire 2014: 1920s challenge

I made this card because it was the only era so far I felt inspired by and actually had some supplies that I felt were usable.  It was a little more tricky than I thought, but glitter is always a tricky medium to work with.  My SU! black embossing powder does not cover and stick to fine detail and print like PTI's fine detail embossing powder does, so my embossing isn't as clean as I would like.

Anyway, I am happy with the results overall, and it is super sparkly in real life.  I used the art deco cover plate and Dawn’s art deco background where I stamped off the light grey color once before stamping because I didn’t want it to be a dark and distracting pattern.   I used some sticker paper and cut that with the cover plate first and then glued it down to put the glitter on.  It was hard to keep stray glue off the card so the glitter didn’t get stuck on it.
My husband’s grandmother is turning 90 in a week and a half so I think this might be her birthday card.  I think it is quite fitting.  Hope she doesn’t mind getting a little glittery when she opens it.  :)
